Landon John is a proud Indigenous leader who has put in time, hard work, and dedication to get to where he is today, as General Manager of Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures (SVLP) construction company within the Shxw’ōwhámél First Nation traditional territory in Hope, BC. Starting his career as a labourer at 13 years old, John has progressed to multiple positions in construction, with professional achievements that include working on complex infrastructure projects for Ledcor Construction in Fort McMurray, AB, and Kinder Morgan in Burnaby and Hope, BC. Recognized for his natural leadership skills, John was approached by Indigenous owned and operated SVLP in 2016, where he had the opportunity to make massive contributions to the Indigenous youth in the local communities with meaningful employment and training opportunities within the construction industry.

Always contributing to the health and safety of his team, John has achieved over 30 safety certificates, including Level 3 First Aid, NACE International CIP (Coating Inspector Program) Level 1 and 2, and Primary Care Paramedic and Emergency Medical Responder.
