Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures was established in June 2015 as a labour workforce and in a few short years, has become one of the most diversified nation-owned construction companies in British Columbia. Our goal is to actively pursue and participate on major projects within and around our traditional territory in beautiful Hope, BC. As an Indigenous owned and operated company, we bring a unique perspective and local knowledge to everything
that we do. We are a driven, experienced team that is ready to execute during the entire project lifecycle- from pre-construction planning, to construction, to maintenance and to the operations period including ownership. Our goal is to bring diverse and sustainable economic development opportunities to our nation resulting in a strong and prosperous community for generations to come.

At Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures, we prioritize employment opportunities for Shxw’ōwhámél First Nation Members and look to hire other local and Indigenous candidates on our projects. We are proudly the largest employer for Indigenous peoples within our traditional territory in Hope, BC.
Chief Financial Officer
Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures is wholly owned by Shxw’ōwhámél First Nation and manages all economic development activities within our traditional territory. Our people are the Stolo and Coast Salish People of the Tiyt Tribe. Our community includes 200 members with approximately 100 people living on our main reserve: Shxw’ōwhámél (Ohamil) I.R. #1 located in Hope, British Columbia.
